Hello! It's lovely to meet you!

My name is Meg (she/her) and I am originally from a small town in the rolling golden hills of northern California. I am a graduate of the University of California, Irvine, where I earned a B.A. in Drama with Honors in Stage Management.

I believe that fostering a positive environment is key to the success of a production. I embrace clear communication, efficient organization, and a sense of community to cultivate a welcoming and creative atmosphere. These efforts compound to a sense of care that has an outsize impact on both audiences and artists.

How did I get here?

I grew up enjoying the simplest yet best theater a kid could ask for: vibrant community theater productions built by passionate, creative friends and neighbors. I first stepped on my local community theater's stage at the age of ten in a production of A Little Princess and was enchanted by every aspect of the experience. I immediately auditioned for the next production and, over the following years, I acted in every show I could find time for. By high school, I started branching out into technical roles, largely courtesy of the internship program at that same community theater, and had my first foray into stage management with a school production of Noises Off!

In college, I jumped at the chance to be a production assistant and, after greatly enjoying it, was asked to continue with the team as an assistant stage manager later that season. I quickly learned that stage management combined my passion for theater with my love of learning and communication. By the end of my time at UC Irvine, I had completed fourteen productions, all but one as a member of a stage management team. These productions ranged from small cabaret nights to sizable complex Shakespeare productions, though I found I most enjoyed the process of creating large musicals and new works.

Outside of theater...

I am a voracious reader, starting to explore some fiber arts hobbies, and a huge fan of enjoying the great outdoors. While at UC Irvine, I also earned a B.A. in Psychological Science and completed coursework and a thesis for the Campuswide Honors Collegium. When not studying or stage managing, I spent much of my time working for the UC Irvine Office of Undergraduate Admissions as a Tour Guide and, later, as a Student Coordinator (meaning that I am in fact certified in sharing fun facts while walking backwards).
